Welcome to first-year criminal law. I am looking forward to spending the upcoming semester with you. This course has a website, and you are currently on it. You can find your assignment for each class here. You should also carefully read the syllabus and FAQs for our first class.

Our first class is Monday, January 14, at 10:38 am in AB 401. You have a reading assignment for that class from Dressler’s treatise — be sure to have the Eighth Edition (and be sure that you have acquired the treatise, not the casebook).

This course has an extensive course supplement. You will need to print a copy on your own (since I do not permit computers or electronic readers in class).

If you have any logistical questions about the class, please email my assistant, Rachel Mance.

Please take a few minutes to complete the brief questionnaire below. Note that any information you share will be public for purposes of this class (e.g., I might reference your hometown in a question to you in class). If you have anything about the class you would like to tell me confidentially, please email me.
